Integrasi E-Library dengan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Akademik: Model Pengembangan dan Implementasi

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes including education. One of the most prominent innovations is the implementation of digital libraries or E-Libraries as a solution to overcome barriers in accessing information and to improve reading interest, particularly among students. The main issue addressed in this study is the low reading interest in Indonesia, influenced by limited access to conventional libraries and the dominance of gadget use for entertainment rather than reading. This research aims to analyze the role of information systems in the development of E-Libraries and their integration with academic management information systems to support the improvement of learning quality. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review of previous research and secondary data analysis. The findings reveal that E-Libraries not only serve as effective information providers but also function as efficient, flexible, and accessible learning media. The integration of E-Libraries with management information systems enhances academic services, streamlines data management, and ensures equitable distribution of learning resources. The implications highlight the importance of developing E-Libraries as part of digital transformation in education to foster literacy, strengthen human resource quality, and support the sustainability of education systems in the digital era.
