This study aims to identify and analyze the key factors contributing to communication and leadership failures within organizations, focusing on a case study at PT Maruwa Indonesia Batam. As a multinational electronic component manufacturing company, PT Maruwa faces several internal challenges, including weak interdepartmental coordination, declining employee motivation, and increasing workplace conflicts. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach by utilizing secondary data obtained from company reports and relevant literature. The findings reveal that communication breakdowns are primarily caused by an authoritarian leadership style, low managerial empathy, and a lack of openness in vertical communication between leaders and subordinates. These conditions have led to decreased trust among employees, weakened organizational loyalty, and a rise in employee turnover rates. The results support previous studies that emphasize the significant role of effective communication and participative leadership in enhancing employee commitment and organizational effectiveness. The implications of this research highlight the importance of adopting open, collaborative, and empathetic leadership styles, as well as implementing two-way communication systems to foster a conducive and productive work environment.
